Larry Selkow has over 40 years of experience as a community pharmacist. Prior to retiring from full time practice, he worked for Albertsons Companies in the Palm Springs area. He currently serves APHA as a member of the Science Board and Section Councilor for the Pharmacy Section.

SCPHA Goal: Develop and expand the SCPHA affiliate through member engagement and community outreach. Work with the membership to promote the science of public health in Southern California.

Mareyba Fawad  is a Federal Health Policy and Data Consultant at Acumen, LLC where she supports various offices of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Mareyba is a graduate of Columbia University in the City of New York and has diverse experience, including working at Booz Allen Hamilton in DC, publishing for the CDC, policy writing for UN Women, directing Oklahoma's annual public health conference, and conducting health systems research with Chelsea Clinton.

SCPHA Goal: Foster collaboration and networking by creating dynamic opportunities for professionals, organizations, and communities to come together and exchange ideas to advance public health.

Brianna Scott is an Epidemiologist for the City of Long Beach and a doctoral student at Loma Linda University, specializing in health education and epidemiology. With a strong passion for research and a commitment to humanitarian epidemiology, she dedicates her career to public health service. Brianna is focused on understanding and addressing health disparities to promote equity and improve the well-being of underserved communities.

SCPHA Goal: Promote the field of public health within underserved communities and provide a platform where members of underserved communities can express public health concerns.

Dr. Saran Tucker has over 25 years of experience in public health and healthcare. Her diverse background includes roles in public health policy contracting, leadership within managed care organizations, and driving quality improvement in hospital settings. Dr. Tucker is currently a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion at Capella University, part-time public health faculty and serves as a principal consultant at TDR consulting, specializing in health equity. Her journey reflects unwavering dedication to advancing public health and healthcare standards while fostering inclusivity.

SCPHA Goal: Promote the field of public health, advance progress toward achieving health equity, and facilitate community engagement and collegiate connections. 

Loan Nguyen-Pryor  is a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Nursing and Public Health. She is passionate about preventative, population-based health and believes that healthcare starts in the community by addressing social determinants of health. She has 12+ years of experience in the inpatient acute pediatric care setting. Currently, she is a nurse educator and teaches community health nursing at CSULB and CSUDH.
