Larry Selkow has over 40 years of experience as a community pharmacist. Prior to retiring from full time practice, he worked for Albertsons Companies in the Palm Springs area. He currently serves APHA as a member of the Science Board and Section Councilor for the Pharmacy Section.


SCPHA Goal: Develop and expand the SCPHA affiliate through

Dr. Saran Tucker has over 25 years of experience in public health and healthcare, with a diverse background spanning public health policy contracting, leadership within managed care organizations, and driving quality improvement in hospital settings.She is currently leading Engagement and Data Enablement at Capella University, focusing on driving high impact practices to support student success and retention.Additionally, Dr. Tucker serves as a principal consultant at TDR Consulting, specializing in health equity.Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to advancing public health,healthcare standards, and inclusivity .

Brianna is focused on understanding and addressing health disparities to promote equity and improve the well-being of underserved communities.

Dr. Dominick Sturz is a Professor of Public Health and Assistant Dean for the Area of Health and Social Sciences at California Baptist University, Division of Online and Professional Studies. Prior to academia, he worked in pharmaceuticals for Merck & Co. and Johnson & Johnson.

She is passionate about preventative, population-based health and believes that healthcare starts in the community by addressing social determinants of health. She has 12+ years of experience in the inpatient acute pediatric care setting. Currently, she

She is passionate about preventative, population-based health and believes that healthcare starts in the community by addressing social determinants of health. She has 12+ years of experience in the inpatient acute pediatric care setting. Currently, she is a nurse educator and teaches community health nursing at CSULB and CSUDH.

Marissa Brash, DrPH, EdD, MPH, MS, CPH, is the Department Chair and a Professor in the CEPH‑accredited MPH program at Azusa Pacific University. A board-certified public health professional with 15+ years of leadership experience, she holds graduate degrees in epidemiology, biostatistics, neuroeducation, and human genetics. Her work advanc

Nationally, Dr. Brash is Mentorship, Membership Engagement, and Social Chair for APHA’s PHEHP Section.


SCPHA Goal: Expand SCPHA’s membership and engagement by fostering meaningful connections between public health professionals, students, and organizations by developing strategic initiatives to enhance section collaboration, promote professional growth, and ensure a strong, diverse, and active membership base




Member-at Large: Policy and Advocacy Development

Danielle M. Campbell is an experienced researcher who integrates principles of health equity biobehavioral research into HIV treatment, prevention and cure research. She is a member of the research faculty at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in the School of Medicine, Division of Preventive and Social Medicine. Danielle 

Danielle M. Campbell is an experienced researcher who integrates principles of health equity biobehavioral research into HIV treatment, prevention and cure research. She is a member of the research faculty at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in the School of Medicine, Division of Preventive and Social Medicine. Danielle has expertise in infectious disease related work, COVID-19, MPOX, and HIV. She is a member of the iSTRIVE research lab where her work applies an intersectional lens to examine the influence of structural systems and paradigms of power on the production of health inequities among racial and ethnic and sex and gender minority populations living with and affected by HIV with an emphasis on women and girls. She is a past Chair of the APHA HIV/AIDS Section, past Chair of the Science Board and Co-Chair of the Joint Policy Committee. She dedicates her energy to serving as a member of a community scientific subcommittee for a global HIV/ AIDS research network and other community-based advocacy efforts. 


SCPHA Goal: Work in partnership with SCPHA governing councilors and members to continue to advance health equity in all policies for all people.

Tianqi Wang is an epidemiologist with expertise in infectious disease surveillance, randomized clinical trials, and health behavior analysis. She earned her Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where her research focused on improving household contact investigation in high-burden settings and addressing health disparities. With experience in both field-based research and laboratory studies, she is committed to advancing health equity and translating data-driven insights into actionable public health solutions.


SCPHA Goal:Strengthen collaboration among public health professionals to improve the health of communities in Southern California, provide opportunities for continuous learning and skill development, and support students and professionals as they grow in their careers.
